This exhibition features the work of London photographer, Matthew Durrant and explores the effect of anxiety in our lives and the associated emotions that we feel. It is told through a series of photographs depicting a story called 'The Colour Jungle'.
The narrative aims to explore the cyclical conflict through time of all-consuming anxiety (a metaphorical jungle, like dense vegetation or a concrete metropolis) with a sensory release (colour). At different times in the sequence, one or both may be dominant.
Matthew originally trained as a conservationist and inspired by modern social issues as well as the challenges which face our environment. He uses colour to inject stories through his photographs, which he manipulates through post-production techniques.
